The Window Covering Safety Council is offering free window retrofit safety kits for your windows. If you have long cords or strings that hang from your window blinds or curtains and you have small children, this may interest you. Every year, children get tangled in the cords and strings and are hurt. Some have even died. The Window Covering Safety Council wants to bring awareness of this problem to the public.
To get your free window retrofit safety kit, click the “Order Free Retrofit Safety Kits” button located near the middle of the page. You are taken to an order page. You may order up to five. A nonprofit company can order more than five. There are five choices. You can order a kit for your Roman shades, your roll up type shades, your mini/vertical/pleated shades purchased before 1995; your mini/vertical/pleated shades purchased after 1995 or your vertical blinds/traverse rod draperies.
Once you have made your selections, add them to your cart. Go to your shopping cart. On that page, click the Checkout button. Enter your name, mailing information, email address and phone number. Don’t forget to select your country. If you want to ship to an address other than your own, select the “Ship To Other.” Enter that mailing address when a form shows up.
When you are done, click the Submit button. If you know where you purchased your blinds, enter that. If you know the name of the manufacturer, enter that. If not, enter N/A. Submit again. The next page, check over your order. If there are any errors, click the Modify button. If not click Submit Order to complete the process. The next page is an Order Confirmation page. You are given an order number and can print the page. Then click the Done button, and you are all set to receive your free window retrofit safety kit.GET FREEBIE
